Description:

This course will introduce students to the process of laying out and ordering a printed circuit board from a commercial vendor. It will also give a very brief introduction to PCB-related machinery available in the ANSYS building. It is intended to be taken by 18-500 students whose project involves PCB design. Students will use Eagle and Cadence layout tools to layout schematics provided to them. They will then order those boards from a commercial vendor and verify the resulting board matches the schematic. No circuit design will be involved. (2 week micro)
